Episode 610 – Why You Need A Facebook Page for Your Cleaning Company and How to Do It!

MIKE: Hey Cleaning Nation! I am so excited to introduce Jered AKA Big Red to you guys today. People come to Jered saying “I know I need a Facebook page but how do I do it?”. So today is going to be all Facebook, all free.

JERED: It is a really common question. You can either gain business or stay where you are. If you want to gain clients you need to make your Facebook page that just shows that you are a legit business. Once you have a Facebook page you can be found by a Google search and when people find you, you want them to view your business as a great cleaning business.

MIKE: You want to have an active Facebook page because if you don’t people may wonder if you are even still in business.

JERED: A big mistake people make is they start making posts that aren’t relative to their business. When someone comes to your page we want the Facebook page to solve a pain for them.

MIKE: You also don’t want to have a ton of offers on your page. Consistently selling can drive people away from your page. You want people to see that you provide actual solutions to their problems. A great way to do this is to offer tips and tricks on your posts.

JERED: We have a 90/10 rule. 90% is helpful content and 10% is selling. Every second someone is on your page longer, the more likely they are to become a customer. When you give tips about how they can solve their problems they will start to recognize that the service you offer will make it even easier for them! One great thing to put in your posts is your core values. One of our core values is “having fun” so when I am creating content a big focus for me is “fun”. By putting your core values in your content, people will start to get to know you before they even meet you!

MIKE: How do we be effective at this without having to spend a ton of time on it?

JERED: Facebook actually offers a ton of tools to help you with this. A great tool is called “Facebook Calendar”. You can map out everything you need in advance so you don’t even have to worry about posting it.

MIKE: One of the things we do is have a Facebook group where we offer a ton of free and helpful content!

To sum up, these tips we have:

  1. Keep your page up to date.
  2. Don’t make random posts that don’t relate to your company.
  3. Give value in your posts.
  4. Bring your core values into your posts.
