Hello Cleaning Nation! Today we have a special episode because our guest is Lou, AKA Bulldog Lou as well call him. He is one of our Enrollment Coaches and one of the most tenacious people I know. He has coached over 100 people coming into our program. He knows what makes someone ready to jump in and what makes someone get stuck.
What Successful or Unsuccessful People Do
When it comes to success, the main thing to focus on is mindset. When Lou talks to people he first tries to learn who they are, if we can help them, and if they want help. A common theme he finds is that most people don’t know what they want or where to start. The people who are successful have the mindset of they know what they want and are willing to do whatever it takes to get it. The people who are not ready are people who are afraid, don’t have any goals, and don’t know what they want. The fear mindset keeps then stuck where they are.
How to change the “What If” Mindset
Invest in yourself. Investing in yourself is the number one thing you can do when it comes to changing your mindset. You can read books, attend seminars, watch videos of people much smarter than you in that area, and more. The worst thing that can happen from taking a risk or investing in yourself is that you end up in the same space you are now. The best thing that can happen is that you become successful. In truth, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
What Causes the “What If” Mindset
At some point in our lives someone beat out of us the ability to dream. When you can’t dream you can’t see a better future for yourself. It could be something as simple as saying “money doesn’t grow on trees” to “you can’t do it”. The first thing we do when someone gets accepted into our program is schedule them for a mindset call. This is one of the most important things we do because we are working on mindset right from the beginning.
How to Figure Out what You Want
It is possible to get clarity on your own but it is highly unlikely. If you have the “how to” but don’t know who you are and how to think in a positive mindset, it will never work. You need to know who are first. This comes back to investing in yourself. You need to take the steps to get clear on your vision before you start building a business.
