RESOURCE ALERT: Taking Your Business To The Next Level

These are the four steps a cleaning company needs to implement to stand out from the competition.

Meet clients in person. It’s surprising to me how many cleaning company owners don’t meet their clients face to face. Aside from establishing a personal relationship, these face to face contacts will teach you what your client wants. By talking to your clients, you’ll learn their pain points and be able to figure out how better to market your business to them.

Understand your client’s pain. People typically don’t want the cheapest cleaning option, they want somebody to solve their problems. These problems might not even be cleaning related. For example, a parent may be devastated that they’re not able to spend quality time with their children. That’s their pain point and now you can solve it.

Find a unique selling proposition. Your unique selling proposition solves the problem you continuously hear your clients having. If your client wants to spend more time with their children, tell them how much extra time they’ll save by hiring you that they can allocate towards quality time with their kids. Selling cleaning is low value and selling time is high value. Narrow down your high-value selling point.

Ask your clients questions and then listen to their response. Your unique selling proposition is going to show your client that you are listening to them. You’re not boasting about how great your services are, you’re telling them how you are going to make their life easier. You want to listen to their pain point and then repeat it back to them.

Stand out from your competition by being the cleaning company that delivers more than a clean house.
