Episode 117 – Marketing Online for Cleaning Companies
Marketing Online for Cleaning Companies
In today’s episode Mike coaches Randale and Jermez Washington of Washington Cleaning Services http://www.washingtoncleaningsvcs.com on Marketing Online for Cleaning Companies.
Marketing Online for Cleaning Companies isn’t what it used to be. Websites are basically table stakes, if you only have a facebook page or a wix page it isn’t going to be good enough to compete in today’s market.
You don’t have to spend thousands of dollars on your website, but you do need to have a website presence.
Check out my episode on Website design with John Ayres for more great information and to find out how to get a free consult by John. https://oldsite.growmycleaningcompany.comcleaning-business-website/
You need to have a website that looks clean and looks like it was created today not back in 1999.
The second part of Marketing Online for Cleaning Companies is your complete online presence. People are going to be looking to see your whole online presence which means your facebook page, twitter and most importantly reviews.
Check out this episode with did with Troy Howard from Sotellus. They have an excellent review application that simplifies the whole review and video review process for your company. https://oldsite.growmycleaningcompany.commarketing-your-reviews/ you can also get the set up fees waived and your first month FREE if you sign up here https://oldsite.growmycleaningcompany.comsotellus
The great thing about sotellus is you have control over the reviews. With Yelp and Angies List you are at the mercy of whomever leaves you a review. With Sotellus you can choose which customers give you reviews and post them wherever you like.
Most people are going to check you out online before they call. They are going to be pre-seeded before they ever talk to you. They are going to have an impression on whether or not you are professional or not, if you have good reviews or not before you ever have the chance to make an impression.
Once you have a grasp of your online presence and you have a site set up you might be bombarded with calls from people trying to sell you SEO Services or social media marketing packages or paid traffic and it can be overwhelming.
None of those are inherently good or bad on their own. But Marketing online for cleaning companies isn’t a one size fits all kind of situation. You need to know who your customer is, where they congregate.
Some customers are online all the time on all social media platforms, others are never online, they might still be on the yellow pages. You need to find out where your niche customer gets their information. If your customer are governmental or large corporations, they aren’t likely to find you on social media, but if they’re stay at home moms they might etc..
Just as important as knowing where your target customer hangs out, is knowing if your website converts. It doesn’t matter if you can get all the traffic in the world if your website can’t convert those visitors into potential customers.
SPending money on PPC or SEO would be a tremendous waste of money and time if your website isn’t converting.
To recap marketing online for cleaning companies the right way, you need to know your customer, create a website that converts and then market to them where they congregate.
