How to Get Your Business to Run Without You
On today’s episode, Mike coches Danny Morilo of Elena’s Professional Cleaning about How to Get Your Business to Run Without You!

Do you ever dream of owning a cleaning business that makes money even while you sleep or go on vacation? Or a business that automates by itself? And you are just there sitting on your chair, relaxed, watching it happen? You are in the right place!

“WHEN THE CAT IS AWAY, THE MICE WILL PLAY.” – Most small cleaning business owners firmly believe that their business would not even exist if they were away and out for six months. But for many, even taking a break for a few days can seem scary!

Do you want your employees to make the same decisions that you would make, but you are not there to make those decisions? One word: Systems!

Are you ready to learn?

The first on the list:

CREATE SYSTEMS: What are systems? A system is a set of processes that can run WITHOUT YOU. As your business grows, you’ll need to build systems and processes that can be automated as much as possible. You’ll need to build customer attraction system, marketing systems, customer support systems, hiring systems, and many others.

Systems are rules, policies, and procedures that your trained cleaners can repeat as your company grows and run independent of you. THIS WILL SET YOU FREE!

YOU ARE AN OWNER, NOT A FIREMAN TO PUT OUT THE FIRE. – Yes it is good that you are there when your employees don’t know what to do, the employees look up to you because you really know how to handle the problems! But WHAT IF, you are not there? What if you are sick? Attending your son’s graduation? Are you willing to sacrifice that moment to fix the problem your employees encountered? You don’t need to be a superhero! With SYSTEMS, you can sleep, eat, go to your son’s graduation, WORRY FREE. Because with systems, your employees will just follow how things should and must be done, on your way! Convenient, isn’t?

Core values are not descriptions of the work you do or the strategies you employ to accomplish your mission. The values underlie your work, how to interact with each other, and which strategies you employ to fulfill your mission. The core values are the basic elements of how you go about your work. They are the practices you use (or should be using) every day in everything you do.

Radiate your core values to your employees. In that way, if they are not on the same boat, they’ll leave. Easy!

A Piece of Advice: “Get closer to the things you want to Accomplish, even if you have to do it piece by piece.”
