Can being thankful really affect your cleaning business? In today’s special podcast episode/ blog, Mike goes it alone and shares how giving thanks can help you and your cleaning business.

Mike starts with some interesting facts:

Gratitude effectively increases happiness and decreases and reduces depression
2014 study published int he journal of applied sports psychology found that gratitude increases an athletes self-esteem
Other studies have shown that gratitude reduced social comparison
So many cleaning business owners compare their companies with their perceptions of other people’s cleaning companies. Their lives to what they THINK the other person’s life is like. That leads to resentment, reduced self esteem and decreases productivity

Also, when you come in with an attitude of thanks and gratitude, think of the light that you are for vendors, customers and employees. Once he shares all the facts and figures, Mike brings in the big guns with the Bible. Philippians 4:6 tells us to be anxious in nothing. To go to God with thanksgiving. And that a peace that transcends understanding will guard our hearts.

That is a heck of a command, AND a heck of a promise. The beauty of it is, you can be anxious or you can be grateful- but you can’t be both. Certainly not at the same time. Not only will a thankful/ grateful heart change your cleaning business, it will transform YOU.
