Hey Cleaning Nation! I am here with Vanessa Quintero, owner of Diamond Elite Cleaning. She started her cleaning company in January 2019 in New Jersey. Vanessa is going to share her story of personal growth and top questions.
About Vanessa
Vanessa worked in corporate for a long time and was not loving her job. One day a family member came to her and started talking about how she was cleaning on the side and how it was a super profitable business. With her experience in the corporate world, she thought it brought a unique skillset to building a business. From there they started the business in their basement. When the business started to take off she was super excited and wanted to continue growing, but started to hit some road bumps. Not long after the bumps started she got on the phone with me and jumped in.
Great Leaders
One thing that is seen in Vanessa is a great leader. One thing that is found in great companies is great leaders. Something great leaders do is that when something really good happens they give the team all of the credit. But, when something bad happens they don’t blame the team but instead find a solution. When a lot of people have something go wrong, bad leaders make up excuses. Instead of making excuses, Vanessa told herself that she needed something different. When COVID hit she didn’t curl up into a ball. Vanessa decided that she wasn’t going to give up so she got CPA certified to avoid any excuses.
The Process

How Vanessa got Excited About Her Business Again
After going through the process she met a lot of great people. When she saw how many people believed in her, she got excited and confident again. On top of the community, she was also given a ton of tools that helped her move onto the next step.
The System
I love how honest Vanessa is with herself because that is a huge tool when it comes to moving forward in business and life. By being honest with herself she was forced to find a system that worked. When she did that, she gained a huge amount of confidence. Investing in yourself is one of the biggest tips we can give to any business owner.
Vanessa’s Top Tips
Her first tip is don’t overthink things and take it one step at a time. Her second tip is to set goals. Goal setting helps you structure yourself to get to where you want to be. Lastly believe in yourself and surround yourself with people who believe in you. When you are surrounded by positive people who believe in you your entire mindset will change.
