Tony wants to restructure his company so that he’s no longer part of the cleaning staff. His question is, how can he bring on supervisors so he can focus on growing his company and expanding into new areas?
There are four steps to make sure you’re ready to expand and have the team to make it a success.

The first step is to identify your pricing. Have a full understanding of how much money you need to be profitable in each contract and have other people doing the cleaning.
The second step is to be sure you’re making enough money to make it worth trying to expand. When you try to take over a new area, it’s like you’ve just franchised your company. You now have two businesses, two different marketing systems, two new employee generation systems, etc. Are you sure you are ready to franchise?
The third step is to get in the mindset of never cleaning. If you really want to expand your business, you don’t have time to clean. You have to be running the systems that will make you successful in both areas, not mopping the floors. This is going to be achieved through step four.
The fourth step is to make everybody a supervisor. As I’ll show you in the Clean Profit Method, each employee will be capable of training another employee one month after their start date. Their graduation from trainee to employee will be in showing they are capable of teaching somebody else your core values and how you clean. Not only does this create a system where each employee is accountable to another, it also makes it so that each employee can replace another.
If one employee calls out, every single other employee is capable of taking their place. This removes a lot of chaos in trying to find replacements for employees that quit or are fired. With that being said, if your company is large enough to employee 20-30 people, then you’ll need a supervisor to manage their schedules.
As a cleaning company owner, you want to make sure your company and you are ready to expand by following these four steps.
