Today we’re talking with a return guest, Rowena from Bristol Residential Cleaning!
Like most of cleaning nation, Rowena is ready to take her business to the next level. She’s currently making £3,000 to £4,000 a month and wants to increase her revenue. To achieve this goal, Rowena needs to do three things.
First, she needs to be fully committed to growing her business. All too often I come in contact with cleaning company owners who want to grow their business, but aren’t committed to the decision. I know they aren’t committed when I suggest changing their internal systems and they resist. If you want to grow your cleaning company, you have to be willing to get out of your comfort zone to do so.
Second, she has to set clear goals. Saying she wants to grow her cleaning business isn’t a goal. Saying she wants to grow her cleaning business by £2,000 a month is. For example, Rowena can identify her average monthly customer and see how many clients she needs to bring on to achieve this goal. Define your growth goals numerically and then figure out how to achieve those goals.

Third, she needs to create systems for client and employee generation. As the owner of her cleaning company, she can’t be spending her time cleaning. Her job is to grow her business, not clean. Imagine if a car salesman at the Tesla dealership called out. Would Elon Musk work as a salesman for the day? No, and neither should you.
Your focus as a cleaning company owner is on growing your company. You’ll do this successfully by implementing lead generation systems and employee generation systems that consistently bring in new clientele and prospective employees.
Bonus Tip: Find a coach that can help you implement these systems. Your ideal coach has grown a profitable cleaning business and, even better, helped several others grow their business.
