MIKE’S PRO ADVICE: Instead of fighting those customers, trying to stop them acting crazy, TAKE THEM TO LUNCH, talk sincerely, say you want to make things right, and apologize.
Even if it’s not successful, you did what you can to resolve the matter. There’s no regrets in your heart.
And finally, treating your customers professionally requires a lot of patience, and very little pride.
