Recently Mike has run into a consistent theme when talking to owners of cleaning companies- Running low on funds, or constantly having to spend the money that you make. Today, Mike and Nathalie are going to talk about the quickest ways that you can start making cash with your cleaning company.

We are going to break down how to grow your company as well as how to attract new customers.

Let’s start out with the three different ways to grow your company’s profits:

  • Getting New Customers
    • This one is going to be the hardest, and most broad. Getting a system set up to get recurring customers can be a very useful tool, however, it is generally also the most expensive and time-consuming. If you’d like to read more about that check it out here!
  • Providing More Premium Services
    • This method is a lot easier to implement and can be a quick way to make some extra money. Instead of spending your time and money on attracting new customers, try adding some more premium services to not only your existing clients but all clients moving forward.
  • Providing More Frequent Cleanings
    • This may be the easiest of the methods, but is still one that is often overlooked. Offering more frequent cleanings can be a great way to not only make more money but also have your customers in an extra clean environment. You can use this to your advantage, by finding statistics about sickness in the workplace or at home, or any other way that can show your customer the importance of clean environments.

Now let’s jump into the seven different ways to increase revenue through your clients!

  • 1: Focusing on Current Customers
    • Adding more services (Cleaning lights, Air Vents, Carpets, etc.) or if you really need money, raising the prices is one of the quickest ways to earn some quick revenue.
  • 2: Reaching Out to Previous Customers
    • This works especially well on the commercial side of things but generally, older customers should already have a relationship with you. More often than not, they didn’t leave for personal reasons, and just reaching out can be a quick way to potentially get back an old customer.
    • Coming back to older bids that didn’t go through at the time can be a great way to pick up more customers. Customers buy when they want to buy, not when you want to sell to them. You may be surprised how many extra customers this small practice can get you.
  • 3: Referrals
    • On the topic of previous customers, a good habit to form is to start asking for referrals. Start reaching out to your previous customers, and make sure that you start asking your new customers as well. Also If you’re doing a good enough job, chances are word of mouth will spread on its own as well.
  • 4: Checking up on Previous Bids
    • Coming back to older bids that didn’t go through at the time can be a great way to pick up more customers. Customers buy when they want to buy, not when you want to sell to them. You may be surprised how many extra customers this small practice can get you.
  • 5: Reaching out to People in your Community
    • In the Clean Profit Method, Mike extensively talks about different ways to interact and build your community. The more you can get your customers to know, like and trust you, the more they’re going to want to go with you over your competitors. Having things like Facebook groups, or creating great, free content through blogs, (Sound Familiar?) seminars, lunch and learns, etc. Can be extremely helpful to your companies growth.
  • 6: Targeted Ads
    • Once you’ve got your systems in place and have ways to find out who has opted into your content, you may want to start looking into targeted ads. There are many places and ways you can use targeted ads as a way to connect with people who have opted into your content before. Facebook is one of the best ways to get specific ads to specific groups.
  • Step 7: General Blanket Ads
    • Definitely the least effective, but it is still a way that you can spread the word about your business across a wide variety of people at a relatively cheap price point.
